As a Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the delivery of data-intensive projects for Customers from Pharma and BioTech. You will ensure collaboration is successful for the client (delivering measurable value), our team (high employee satisfaction score), and Appsilon (growing business and billability).
Your role will consist of:- Building a strong relationship with the Customer:
-Having regular meetings with stakeholders across the client’s organization and discussing their challenges
-Exploring new areas in which collaboration with our tea can bring value to the
-Customer Understanding the big picture and dynamics on the Customer side
-Having a deep understanding of Customer goals within the project we are working on
-Understanding how the Customer measures the business impact of the project
-Providing Customers with the best service experience
- Guiding Customers during the project:
-Advising how to achieve impact
-Challenging Customer plans to find the optimal approach
-Escalating risks on time
- Projects Continuity:
-Finding opportunities to grow the collaboration with the Customer
- Direct Management:
-Providing career support and finding opportunities to grow
-Identifying growing talents and underperformers and acting on them promptly.
- Project/Product Management:
- At least 4 years of commercial experience in a similar role or managing and leading cross-functional teams
- Domain knowledge (Good understanding of fundamental concepts in molecular biology and bioinformatics; Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases; Familiarity with -omics data sets; Knowledge of processing, analyzing, and visualizing biological data; Extra point for hands-on experience with the project)
- Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects for Pharma/BioTech
- English C1 (close to native speaker)
- Experience with client relationship management
- Understanding of modern software development process
- Experience in mentoring other people
- You’re okay with traveling to clients and conferences (~4 times per year)
- Experienced in remote work, likes remote-first working culture
- Communication is your strong point. You like and know how to talk to people but also learn to listen effectively and memorize information. You are characterized by openness, patience, emotional intelligence, and high personal culture. Your time zone makes it possible to work with European and American clients.
- Ready to work in the European time zone with a minimum of 3-hour overlap during East Coast business hours
- Based in Europe/South America/ USA
- Competitive salary: Enjoy a monthly B2B salary of 19,000 - 22,000 PLN / 4,400-5,100 USD + VAT, based on a full-time commitment.

- Manage the delivery of 2-3 projects for Customers developed by teams of 2-3 engineers
- You will be learning the way we work by participating in Talent Forge activities (workshops, trainings, talks)
- Mentorship from the Senior Executives
- Manage 5-6 individual contributors (team members or contractors)
- You will be learning the way we support software engineers as managers by participating in the weekly managers' meetings to share ideas, challenges, and solutions
- Manage the delivery of 3-4 projects for Customers (depending on their sizes)
- Manage up to 10 individual contributors
- Contribute to the internal initiatives that make our system work, for example: performance reviews, Talent Forge, onboarding
- Still getting mentorship and growing - training through the Personal Development Budget, 1-1s with the Director of Delivery, Head of Technology, and Senior Delivery Managers
