Job DescriptionAs an Expert Backend Solution Engineer, your mission will be to develop and deploy the technical and functional specifications from the Solution Designers / Business Architects / Business Analysts, guaranteeing the correct operability and the compliance with the internal quality levels. We need somebody like you to help us on different fronts:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the required specifications, through the delivery of services and technical Backend components required for its operation with a view of your own development and its integration with other teams and systems.
- You will document your solutions in the Grouptools: JIRA, Confluence, ALM…
- Participate in all aspects of the Development lifecycle. Work with QA and Business Analysts to analyse issues and create solutions.
- Understand product business requirements and review user stories, to detect and remove defects early in the product development life cycle.
- Participate in Agile development processes including communicating ideas, questions, and concerns openly with the team.
- Participate in relevant agile events: planning and estimation, daily stand ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work collaboratively with product owners, business analysts, developers, and testers to ensure quality is built into our applications as new features and technologies are introduced.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in programming backend applications, ideally on Agile.
- Experience with Java 17 and/or 11 required.
- Experience in Github, Jenkins and Urbancode in a continuous integrating workflow.
- Good communication skills in both verbal and written. English mandatory , Spanish nice to have.
- Advantageous – Experience in DDBB query development (Oracle).

What you will do:

Required Skills:
- Extensive Mobile Development Experience: 5+ years as a mobile developer with a proven track record of building high-quality mobile applications.
- Flutter Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience developing with Flutter, including deep familiarity with Flutter frameworks, third-party libraries, and APIs.
- Strong Architectural Knowledge: Expertise in mobile native technologies, architectural design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM), and frameworks, with experience applying TDD methodology and robust unit testing practices.
- Proficiency with Development Tools: Skilled in using Android SDK, GIT version control systems, and other essential mobile development tools.
- Commitment to Quality: Adept at unit-testing code for robustness, including handling edge cases, ensuring usability, and maintaining reliability.
- Experience with native Android.
Preferred Skills:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related experience
- Experience with MVVM architecture, CI/CD is a plus

The anticipated new hire base salary range for this full-time position is $122,400-$195,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are based on the job, level, and location, and reflect the lowest to highest geographic markets where we are hiring for this role within the United States. Within this range, individual compensation is determined by a candidate’s location as well as a range of factors including but not limited to: unique relevant experience, job-related skills, and education or training.

The Canonical MAAS team is responsible for delivering our Metal As A Service hyperscale provisioning technology. Ubuntu strives to be the most scalable, cloud ready server distribution and MAAS is our platform to get it there. MAAS is a rapidly evolving software stack written in Python and Go, and we are looking for experienced software engineers who understand performance at scale, networking, storage and usability.
Applicants should be passionate about the future of Ubuntu and be able to show technical leadership with a globally distributed team of engineers who share that passion. This position requires international travel several times a year.
What your day will look like
- Develop MAAS core components and features to make MAAS the #1 bare metal cloud system.
- Shape the architecture of MAAS to make it simpler, faster and easier to use.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure MAAS works well with other tools and is released on time.
- Contribute your improvements to our continuous integration environment, tests and practices, to maintain fast feedback and good test coverage.
- Contribute to documentation of current and existing features, making it a world-class resource for Data Centre operators and users.
- Provide technical communication and collaboration with other teams where appropriate.
- Take personal ownership of problems and drive them to solutions.
- Travel internationally a few times a year to meet and collaborate with your and other teams.
- Solid track record of professional software development experience in Python, Go for back-end roles, or TypeScript, React for front-end roles.

- Ideally, experience of large-scale physical server provisioning and automation, including rapid deployment, configuration, management and service orchestration.
- Familiarity with some of the open source development tools and methodologies used in creation of several Ubuntu projects (MAAS, Juju, Ubuntu Server, LXD, Ubuntu Core), such as Launchpad, Debian packaging tools (APT, dpkg) and snapcraft.
- An exceptional academic track record from both high school and preferably university.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a large-scale Angular front-end application, as well as building and integrating the back-end systems using ExpressJS and various database technologies.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop complex, scalable, and high-performance Angular applications using the latest version of Angular and related technologies.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using ExpressJS and Node.js.
- Integrate the front-end with back-end systems, ensuring seamless data flow and communication.
- Design and develop database schemas for relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and document-based (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
- Implement best practices for code structure, maintainability, performance optimization, and security.
- Utilize NGRX for state management and RxJS for reactive programming within the Angular application.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design for optimal user experience on various devices.

Work across the full Linux stack from kernel through GUI to optimise Ubuntu, the world's most widely used Linux desktop and server, for the latest silicon.
The role is a fast-paced, problem-solving role that's challenging yet very exciting. The right candidate must be resourceful, articulate, and able to deliver on a wide variety of solutions across PC and IoT technologies. Our teams partner with specialist engineers from major silicon companies to integrate next-generation features and performance enhancements for upcoming hardware.
Location: This is a Globally remote role
What your day will look like
- Design and implement the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks
- Work with partners to deliver a delightful, optimised, first class Ubuntu experience on their platforms
- Take a holistic approach to the Ubuntu experience on partner platforms with inputs on technical plans, testing strategy, quality metrics
- Participate as technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge
- Help our customers integrate their apps, SDKs, build device OS images, optimize applications with Ubuntu Core, Desktop and Server
- Work with the most advanced operating systems and application technologies available in the enterprise world.
What we are looking for in you
- You love technology and working with brilliant people
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or similar
- You have experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto)
- You have experience working with open source communities and licences
- You have experience working with C, C++
- You can work in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation.
- Experience with graphics stacks
- Good understanding of networking - TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP/REST
- Basic understanding of security best practices in IoT or server environments
- Good communication skills, ideally public speaking experience
- IoT / Embedded experience – from board and SoC, BMCs, bootloaders and firmware to OS, through apps and services
- Some experience with Docker/OCI containers/K8s
Your base pay will depend on various factors including your geographical location, level of experience, knowledge and skills. Senior Web Developer – Build Scalable Digital Products with Next.js & Node.js (Full-Time, Remote)
Launchpad is looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to help us shape and scale digital platforms that reach users around the globe. You’ll work across the stack Next.js, React.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, while driving technical decisions, mentoring teammates, and delivering high-quality features that make a real impact. If you’re excited about crafting performant systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams, this one’s for you.
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: Indefinite
Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30 to 16.30 PST
Work mode: 100% remote
️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain high-performance fullstack applications using Next.js, React.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
- Design scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs to power seamless front-end/back-end integration
- Lead technical planning sessions: define scope, estimate tasks, and guide implementation
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing teams to deliver impactful digital experiences
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, test, and deployment
- Monitor system performance and reliability with tools like Datadog
- Ensure security and compliance are embedded throughout the development lifecycle
- Mentor team members and share knowledge on architecture, best practices, and technical decisions
- Support high availability and redundancy across dev and production environments
- Maintain clear, actionable technical documentation
- Stay current with emerging tech and contribute to internal learning and innovation
- Shape the broader product vision by delivering clean, scalable, user-first solutions
Must-haves
- 5+ years of experience in fullstack development
- Deep expertise in Next.js, React.js, and Node.js
- Strong database integration skills with PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in API development: REST and GraphQL
- Advanced experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
- Hands-on experience with observability/monitoring tools such as Datadog
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and Git-based workflows
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communicator comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical teams
- Experience working in Agile environments with iterative delivery cycles
- Experience with Elixir for building scalable, concurrent systems
- Familiarity with PHP in modern web development environments
